Over the years as the drum corps activity has evolved, the brass section has grown tremendously in size. With that comes challenges and the need for additional leadership. Today, we are very excited to announce our Co-Horn Sergeants for the 2019 season.
Currently residing in Radford, Virginia, Evan is a four-year veteran of the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps and plays lead Baritone. With many years of drum corps ahead of him, Evan is currently a senior at Radford High School.
“With Troopers as my second family for the past few years, it is an honor to be able to serve as one of the Horn Sergeants for 2019. The summers that I’ve spent with America’s Corps have been the best of my life. The excellent instructional staff, the talented membership, and the indescribable feeling of family that encompasses the entire corps are amazing, and I can’t wait to experience it once again this upcoming season.
I look forward to continuing the amazing growth shown by the hornline the past few years. Selection as a horn sergeant for an organization that has shown so much professionalism and excellence both on and off the field is both a humbling challenge and a dream come true, and I hope to build upon our core values of Honor, Loyalty and Dedication in the 2019 season.” -Evan Stoddard
Will Peters is going into his third year with the Troopers. He is a member of the contra section and served on the leadership team in 2018. He lives in Colorado and attends the University of Northern Colorado, where he is a Music Education major. Will is excited to help the organization flourish in 2019!
"We are incredibly proud to have Evan and Will serve as Horn Sergeants for the upcoming season. Their leadership skills, positive attitudes and commitment to ensuring a rewarding experience for the membership is second to none. Their exemplary record as multi-year vets of the organization truly show their understanding of what honor, loyalty and dedication is all about." -Kristy Jackson, Corps Director
