BENO MORRIS

Audio Director

Beno has been working in the music industry for over 35 years. He has been consulting for drum corps since 1987 with Velvet Knights, Impulse, Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets, The Academy (2013-2018), and Mandarins (2019-2022).

 

He has also worked with numerous marching bands in Indiana, Michigan, Texas, California, and Florida. As well as indoor percussion groups including Northcoast Academy and Cavaliers Indoor.

 

His experience with sound design started with Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. Where he was part of the sound crew for concerts, park shows (Batman, Bugs Bunny, and special events).  From there, he joined SWANK Audio Visual in Palm Springs, CA. There he worked with named artists such as Lionel Richie, Patti LaBelle, Madonna, Harry Connick Jr., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Styx, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, WWF, Miss Teen USA, and Coachella Music Festivals as well as numerous other artists.

 

Beno’s performance experience involved marching with the Cavaliers drum and bugle corps playing bass drum from 1978-1984.

 

In November 2012, Beno was lucky to be the recipient of a new heart. Beno is excited to join the staff of the Troopers, hoping he can bring new ideas and use his extensive knowledge to enhance their sound

WADE QUINN

Assistant Audio Director

Wade Quinn has been a Performer, Educator, and Audio Engineer for over a decade in the marching arts.  He has worked with many ensembles such as Sacramento Mandarins, Santa Clara Vanguard, Sacramento State University, Granite Bay Emerald Brigade, and Vigilantes Indoor Percussion. 

 

Mr. Quinn originated from Northern California where he went to school for Music and Audio Engineering at Folsom Lake College and American River College. Over his time in California, he had led his ensemble to Multiple gold medals in NCPA, WGI, WBA and NCBA. As a writer arranger, He has written almost 100 shows as a front ensemble, battery, and Wind Arranger in the marching arts. Mr. Quinn just recently moved to Frisco, Texas. He is in his 2nd year as the Assistant Percussion Director at Lone Star High School and is serving as a consultant across the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
