Once you arrive, and retrieve your luggage, please proceed to the center of the Civic Plaza inside the airport (It’s where all the food venues are) to check in with a designated Trooper representative (TBA).
The Bus will depart the Indianapolis airport at 5:00pm ET and arrive at the camp location shortly after 6:00pm ET.
On Sunday, following the camp, the buses will transport you back to the Indianapolis airport. You should arrive at the airport sometime around 1:30pm ET. To be safe, choose a later flight that departs after 4:00pm ET.
When traveling, if you are experiencing any delays or cancellations, and need to speak with the admin team, please reach out to one of the following individuals:

COVID-19 CAMP PROTOCOL (UPDATED 01/20/2022) THIS IS NOT A DISCLAIMER. YOU MUST READ THIS.
For the February camp there will be a 2 step approach to our initial COVID screening to help ensure that all attendees stay as safe as possible. All attendees must conduct a PCR or antigen rapid Covid-19 test within 72 hours prior to departing for camp, and must show proof of a negative result prior to arriving at camp. If you are positive, let us know immediately, DO NOT COME TO CAMP!
Attendees should also plan to arrive at camp with an unused rapid antigen test to be administered during check in. For those that do not have access to additional tests, the Troopers will provide you with one during check in. Again, this is a double testing procedure. Test before you leave for camp, and we will test you again once you arrive. Rapid tests at the camp will be administered by our health & wellness team and administrative staff. These tests will be required before you are allowed to participate. ALL ATTENDEES ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK WHILE TRANSPORTING TO THE CAMP LOCATION, DURING CHECK IN, AND THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND. For details on recommended masks visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/types-of-masks.html
Understanding the risk: Brass performers will pull their mask down while playing their instruments, and put them back on when not. Be aware that while utilizing shower spaces, individuals will be removing masks. You may also remove your mask while sleeping. Masks must be worn at all other times.
We will have access to two gyms. The gyms will enable you to have more than six feet of space between other members while sleeping. Be sure to spread out!
We strongly recommend that each participant receive the COVID-19 booster prior to attending our in person events.
Submit your Pre-Camp COVID test result to the Troopers Health Team Coordinator, Jim Olea at medical@troopersdrumcorps.org
Where to get a rapid test prior to camp? Begin to look for these tests now, although they may not be on store shelves, CVS and Walgreens have had them in stock for online purchase. Additionally, you can now order 4 FREE rapid tests from the Federal Government. These tests will take 7-12 business days to arrive. Knowing the government, it will probably take longer. Order them right now at: https://www.covidtests.gov/
If you are still having trouble locating tests, we also recommend that you check out on/go at https://www.letsongo.com/shop
Waiting until the last day or two to figure this out is no longer acceptable. If you are not able to submit a negative test prior to departure, you are not permitted to attend the camp. This includes all attendees including the Troopers staff.
Compliance with this procedure is mandatory. If you are not able to comply with this required process, then please do not attend.
There is no way around it. COVID is a risk that we have to deal with as best we can. There is no perfect solution in any situation. Be aware that even with these precautions in place, there still are risks, and that your attendance at this camp is your acknowledgement and acceptance of these risks.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
This will be a traditional style Trooper camp. Sleeping on gym floors (bring an air mattress), rehearsing indoors, with amazing meal breaks that are all provided by the Troopers Food Team. Friday evening you will get started, meeting your instructors and other participants, Saturday will be an intense full day of rehearsal where you’ll learn everything from our warm ups, marching styles, and more. Sunday you will wrap up the experience and then head home. For specific details on your section, reach out to your caption head and staff.
REGISTRATION (MANDATORY)
Now that you have purchased your camp ticket, you need to register for camp. Be sure to have your travel plans in order, and any pertinent medical related information that our health and food teams will need to know.
