Jumping into 2023 Finals Week

Welcome to 2023 DCI Finals Week! This is a monumental period for Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps in many different ways.

In addition to this summer’s competitive achievements, 2023 marks a milestone for the corps: the organization’s 65th Anniversary. This week, you can help Troop celebrate their six-plus decades in a variety of unique ways.

The competitive A corps arrived in Lebanon, Indiana on Monday. They will rehearse at Boone Co. Fairgrounds this week in preparation for their run in the 2023 DCI World Championship competition.

Culminating five years of planning, the Troopers Legacy Corps also checked in on Monday to begin finalizing for several appearances later this week, fulfilling a dream and plans set in motion in 2018. More than 200 alumni and drum corps dreamers are excited to present portions of Troopers’ marching and musical memories.

Before all the performances get underway, the Troopers organization will celebrate its 65th Anniversary at an event on Wednesday, August 9 at Boone Co. Fairgrounds in Lebanon, IN. The evening will feature an Italian-themed dinner, history display, silent auction, short program and the induction of the 2023 Troopers’ Hall of Fame Inductees. You may also catch a glimpse of the A Corps in final preparations for Finals.

This anniversary celebration is open to the public. Dinner is "until gone" with free-will donations accepted. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Eastern with dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m.. The program will begin around 6:45 p.m.

The A Corps appears in competition on Thursday in DCI World Championship Prelims in Lucas Oil Stadium around 8:00 p.m.

Friday is a huge day for Troopers’ performing ensembles. The Legacy Corps will appear at the DCI/BoA Shining A Light event on Friday evening at approximately 5:00 p.m. in Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. Later that evening, A Corps should appear in Semi Finals, time to be announced. At 10:49 p.m. that same night, the Legacy Corps will take the field in LOS at 10:49 p.m. for a special show celebrating the music and stylings from Troopers’ history. The DCI Age Out ceremony will cap off Friday night in the stadium

On Saturday, Troopers will have a booth on History Row at the Sound Sport International Music & Food Festival. Troopers Legacy Corps will make a special appearance at the festival at 3:30 p.m. Come enjoy the Festival with us in Lucas Oil Stadium Lot B (across South Street from the stadium’s north entrances.)
