Dear Troopers Family,

I hope you're all feeling the excitement building for the upcoming season. As we prepare to embark on this journey together, I want to take a moment to reflect on the values that define us and guide our actions.

In recent times, both within our activity and in the world around us, change has been inevitable. Yet, rather than being reactive, let's embrace these changes as opportunities to lead by example and set new standards of excellence.

Every day, we're reminded of the challenges facing our society. However, I firmly believe that the Troopers can be a beacon of positivity and inclusivity in the drum corps community. It's about embodying our values in our everyday actions and interactions.

Why are we here? We are here to serve. To serve our members, our community, and each other.

To help facilitate this standard, we've established this portal to guide you through the onboarding process. It's all in service of our collective goal: to create a safe, supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

I have absolute faith in the talents and professionalism of each and every one of you. Let's rise to the occasion and show the world what the Troopers are truly capable of.

With utmost respect,

Michael Gough

Executive Director, Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps

Per DCI Policy 325, the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps must comply with all required staff trainings and certifications. We require all board members, administrative staff, logistical crews, instructional staff and members (ages 18+) participating in the organization to complete the online "SafeSport Trained Core Course" with the U.S. Center for SafeSport, along with updated refresher courses for those that have already completed the core course.

Volunteers that are traveling with the corps are required to complete the "SafeSport for Volunteers Abuse, Awareness and Prevention" course.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent nonprofit committed to building a sport community where participants can work and learn together free of emotional, physical and sexual abuse and misconduct.

ALL STAFF, ADMIN & LOGISTICS CREW

If you have never taken the SafeSport Core Course before, please select "SafeSport Core Course (First Time User)." Once on the SafeSport website, you will be prompted to create an account. If this is your first time taking the SafeSport core course, you will not need to take the refresher courses until next year.

If you already have a SafeSport account and have taken the SafeSport Core Course at the Troopers or at another organization (including WGI), then you should login into your account and complete any remaining "SafeSport Refresher" courses that are still available in the catalogue. Click Safesport Catalogue to proceed.

All staff, admin, interns, and logistics crews will be reimbursed for any costs associated, once you have turned in your certificates of completion.
