STAFF PORTAL

Dear Staff, and other distinguished adults of the Troopers,

Times have changed in the activity and the Troopers will no longer be reactionary to those changes. Instead, we will lead by example, and be known as one of the best in the game.

The world itself has changed. Every day, we see on the news horror stories of assault, harassment, hazing, discrimination, and so much more. These stories span the spectrum of society, and they are not immune from the drum corps activity as we have discovered in recent years.

Written policies are not enough to fix the problem. Policies and procedures have to be ingrained in our culture and become second nature as we proceed to a brighter future.

When you come to the Troopers, ask yourself this question... Why am I here? My expectation is that you are here to serve in whatever capacity you have been asked. Serve being the key word. Nobody is getting rich doing drum corps. This organization is not about you or individual egos. It is not about scoring personal points or looking cool. We are here to serve the members of the corps and provide them with the most exceptional experience of their lives. Period. Anything short of that is not acceptable. If we are former marching members, great! But we are no longer in that position. The way things have been done in the past are no longer relevant. As of January 1, 2022, we move forward together. For the mission of the corps.

This portal has been established to guide you through the hoops of on boarding with the Troopers. There are a variety of requirements and trainings that we all must adhere to and complete. In some cases, you may be asked to resubmit some critical information. Again, this is a new process as of January 1, 2022.

We believe in your talents and in your capacity to be true professionals. Otherwise you would not have been asked to be here. Be the best version of yourself, and let us teach the next generation of young people what honor, loyalty and dedication is all about.

With dignity & respect,

Michael Gough

Corps Director

Beginning in April of 2022, the corps will require all adults participating in the organization to complete the online core training course with the U.S. Center for SafeSport, along with additional trainings  that are currently available through the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
