Troopers January Callback Camp CANCELED Due to Weather State of Emergency
- Jan 21
- 2 min read

Dear Troopers Callback Candidates and Families,
After continuous monitoring of the situation and active consultation with the DCI Weather Team, as well as coordination with multiple drum corps organizations operating in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, we have made the decision to cancel the January Callback Camp scheduled for January 23–25, 2026.
The State of Texas has issued a Weather State of Emergency for much of North Texas, including the Dallas–Fort Worth region. Forecasts currently indicate prolonged freezing temperatures, significant ice accumulation, and widespread hazardous travel conditions, with substantial impacts expected to air travel, ground transportation, and regional infrastructure throughout the weekend.
This decision was not made lightly. We have remained in direct and ongoing communication with high-level weather professionals to evaluate timing, severity, and risk. Based on those assessments, canceling the January camp is the most responsible course of action to ensure the safety of our members, staff, and families.

The Troopers have announced that the January Callback Camp has been canceled due to a weather-related state of emergency, rtc clearance. The decision was made to prioritize the safety of participants, staff, and volunteers, and attendees are encouraged to watch for future updates regarding rescheduling or additional event information.
Safety first — that's always the right call, even when it hurts to cancel. A weather state of emergency in Texas is no joke. Hope everyone stays warm and safe, and we'll see you at the next camp tierlist maker .
Safety first is always the right call, especially with a state of emergency in effect. Glad Troopers are prioritizing members and staff over schedule pressure. While waiting for the February camp, I've been organizing rehearsal notes using mp3 to text online to transcribe audio memos—really helpful for busy seasons like this. Hope everyone stays warm and safe until rescheduled dates.
It is always a relief to find a resource that explains these procedures without assuming the reader already has a background in the subject matter. The layout allowed me to jump to the sections I needed most without getting lost in the broader context. I decided to visit website portals for my own account shortly after finishing your post, and it saved me a fair bit of frustration compared to the last time I tried to manage my settings. Is there a specific support channel you would recommend for people who encounter persistent login issues, or is the standard help desk generally the only route available for resolving those specific problems?
