Troopers Celebrate Marching Music Day with Raffle of Nostalgic Replica Drum

Casper, WY - Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps is marching forth on Marching Music Day by opening a special fundraising effort honoring the art of yesterday’s percussion.
The 1970s championship-winning Troopers - with their custom rope drums - hold a special place in drum corps lore. Percussion history buffs can now make a connection to that Troopers’ legend thanks to a unique donation from a generous alumnus.
Beginning March 4th, the Troopers are holding a limited-time raffle for an intricately recreated rope drum. Tickets sales are now open via the Troopers website for chances to win this thoughtfully crafted replica.
This special offering was lovingly curated by a Troopers’ percussion alumnus and former participant in the Troopers Legacy Corps. The drum is an exact reproduction of the drums the Troopers used in 1970 for the corps’ championship performances that year.
“Because there are not really many options to have an original rope drum, I knew I could create a great reproduction,” shared Michael Jedd, a 1972 rook-out with Troopercussion who was also on the road with the corps in 1970 when the ensemble received the specially-commissioned drums. “I actually had two made, and I thought donating one would be a good way to give back to the corps,” Jedd added.
Jedd spent time searching for some of the necessary parts and ultimately had an important pulley mechanism custom made and chrome plated. The drum’s authentic artwork was painted by Virginia Wilkos-Stafford, an artist who has worked on drums for the U.S. Army Band and 3rd Infantry Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps.
Chances to win this special reproduction item celebrating corps history are available via online raffle. Tickets are now on sale for $10 per entry. The deadline for purchasing raffle tickets is April 30th. The drawing will be conducted by members of the Troopers’ 2025 battery at the corps’ May camp.
The winner will be responsible for shipping or picking up the drum, along with any associated costs.
All proceeds benefit Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps.

Thấy bạn bè nhắc nhiều dn88 nên mình vào lướt thử. Giao diện nhìn khá thoáng, chữ và từng phần nội dung được chia rõ nên xem nhanh không bị rối mắt. Mấy heading lớn cũng giúp nắm ý chính khá nhanh. Tổng thể bố cục gọn, các mục sắp xếp dễ theo dõi và click qua lại cũng khá mượt.
kuwin Ban đầu mình cũng chỉ tò mò nên ghé vào xem nhanh thôi, không ngồi đọc kỹ. Khá bất ngờ vì trang nhìn dễ chịu, các phần nội dung chia block rõ ràng nên kéo xuống khá thoải mái. Tiêu đề làm to và nổi bật, nhìn qua là biết từng phần đang nói về gì. Mình thích nhất là bố cục không bị dồn chữ, thao tác giữa các mục cũng khá mượt.
Mình tình cờ thấy LV88 được nhắc đến trong một vài chia sẻ trên mạng nên tiện tay mở vào xem thử. Mình không khám phá quá sâu mà chủ yếu lướt qua để xem giao diện và cách các chuyên mục được sắp xếp. Cảm nhận đầu tiên là bố cục khá gọn, thông tin được chia thành từng nhóm rõ ràng nên nhìn tổng thể dễ theo dõi, không có cảm giác mọi thứ bị dồn vào một chỗ. Thanh điều hướng cũng được đặt khá hợp lý, giúp mình chuyển qua các mục nhanh mà không phải mất thời gian tìm kiếm.
AE888 mình lướt thử vì thấy bạn bè nhắc hoài, kiểu vào xem giao diện với nội dung họ viết ra sao thôi. Vừa mở lên thấy tông màu nhìn dễ chịu, chữ không bị rối mắt, mấy tiêu đề chia đoạn rõ nên đọc lướt cũng bắt nhịp nhanh. Mình có ghé qua phần khái quát và lịch sử, thấy họ nhắc chuyện ra mắt từ 2016 nên cũng hiểu sơ sơ hướng họ muốn nói về sự minh bạch bảo mật. Không phải kiểu nhồi nhét quá nhiều thứ một lúc, nên cảm giác đỡ ngợp hơn mấy trang tương tự. Nói chung mình chỉ xem cho biết, nhưng cách sắp xếp theo từng khối nội dung và menu…
UG88 xuất hiện trong một topic mình tình cờ đọc được trên forum khi đang tìm thông tin cho một chủ đề khác. Ban đầu mình chỉ lướt qua, nhưng thấy vài thành viên nhắc lại nên tiện tay mở thử xem trang được trình bày thế nào. Mình không dành nhiều thời gian khám phá, nhưng thấy bố cục khá gọn, từng khu vực được phân chia tương đối rõ nên dễ theo dõi. Thử truy cập bằng điện thoại cũng khá thuận tiện, các phần chuyển qua lại không gây cảm giác rối.
