FIRST LOOK: TroopCon 2024

Planning continues for the inaugural TroopCon. The Troopers organization will soon share detailed events’ information as well as open registration.

However, we know you are anxious to learn more. Trust us; you will not want to miss sharing the last weekend of June with us in Casper!

To help you plan, here are some advance glimpses of what is sure to be an amazing weekend:

First, what exactly is TroopCon?

“Con” is a term short for CONference or CONvention, just not your boring business type assembly. Think ComicCon or another similar gathering bringing enthusiasts together to celebrate a shared interest. Think of a “con” as the ultimate opportunity to relish in fandom. In this case, TroopCon will celebrate all things Troopers! Additionally, TroopCon is designed to introduce (or re-introduce) you to Casper and to help our organization build on six-plus decades of local relationships. Come to TroopCon and immerse yourself in the Troopers Universe!

For TroopCon 2024, the menu of events will allow you to show off your Troopers’ gear or costuming, meet Troopers’ celebrities, play bingo, catch Troopers’ on the big screen, discover great local food and beverage establishments and more.

Troopers’ fans in town and at home will be able to participate in a truly unique “fun run.” At just 361-total-feet, this .11K is something anyone can do, even if not in Casper. Participants at the live event can explore Fort Caspar, the setting that inspired the Troopers’ ethos.

The highlight of the weekend will be the premiere of Troopers A Corps’ 2024 production “Dance With the Devil” coupled with a performance by the Troopers Legacy Corps. This event will take place Saturday evening, followed by an after party.

Troopers Legacy Corps will be in Casper throughout the weekend. After gathering in town on June 25 to begin rehearsals, this popular tribute ensemble will perform in a variety of settings and events throughout TroopCon. Be sure to catch the TLC for a moving experience of Troopers’ musical history.

TroopCon will also celebrate the 2024 Troopers Hall of Fame inductees.

Registration for TroopCon will open later this month. Options will be available for individual events up through an All-Access pass. Until then, consider making your travel and lodging plans in place. The Legacy Corps will perform the first time the evening of Thursday, June 27 and may events are planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The host hotel for TroopCon will be the Ramkota Hotel Casper. You can reserve a room in our Troopers’ block by calling (307)-266-6000.  An online booking link will be available in the near future. Ask for the Troopers Drum & Bugle block.

Watch for registration announcements on social media and our website. Until then, you can address questions to a.roberts@troopersdrumcorps.org
